About Me

Hi! I'm Lauren, and I have been teaching middle school ELA since 2008. I am also an EdTech enthusiast. I love using technology to leverage participation, rigor, and creativity, whether that is from my students or the adult learners I work with. 

Even though I have a lot of experience teaching and using technology, 2020 has been a learning experience for me. This blog, started in September 2020, is called "This Lesson Plan Did Not Self Destruct" because it is a place for me to share my (mostly) successful remote learning lesson plans. My goal is try things out, learn from the messy parts, and help other educators find a way to bring their curriculum online in a way that is doable, manageable, and fun.
