Christmas Music and Education: A Slightly Unpopular Opinion

Slightly unpopular opinion here: Overall, I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas music. 😬 It’s a handful of tunes from the same artists on repeat for a month at a time. Before you draw and quarter me, there are songs I do like. I love it even more when a whole new song comes out. Not a cover, not a version, a brand spanking new ditty. Here’s my connection to education . It can be like Christmas music- the same lessons repeated year after year with minimal change. But every once in a while a new lesson strikes and it’s fantastic. Or maybe it falls flat but gives way to what could be awesome. So, I want to hear from people about the most impactful “new” idea they’ve had, heard about, experienced, or seen at any time in their life. Maybe it’s from 4th grade. Maybe it’s something your 4th grade niece is doing. I also want to hear about what isn’t those things. I’ll start!
